Skin and Hair Benefits of Turmeric

Turmeric has many incredible health benefits such as detoxifying the liver and aiding fat metabolism. I also use it in my cooking. However my focus is going to be on the skin and hair benefits it provides.

Skin
Turmeric helps to keep the skin looking young and fresh because it contains many antioxidants.

It is great for aging skin. It helps stimulate new cell growth and help keep the skin’s elasticity intact.

It is widely used for the treatment of acne

Turmeric is said to lighten pigmentation and even out skin tone.

It can be used to treat and soften cracked heels.

Depending on how you use it or mix it with, it helps in controlling dry or oily skin.

Turmeric paste is used to heal small cuts and burns. Turmeric heals wounds and helps to keep bacterial infections at bay.

Hair
It removes the signs of dandruff by increasing the circulation in the scalp and provides nutrition to the hair follicles.

It helps prevent hair loss.

Note - When using with hair be careful as it can dye the hair. Also turmeric is available in the shop. To order, please send us a message.

Benefits of Palm Kernel Oil

Palm kernel oil has been in my home for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, my paternal grandmother would send it to us to use as a body cream. She sent the one that had stick-like herbs in them and I was cool with them until I started watching Nollywood, and I wanted nothing to do with a babalawo's cream . Although   now I know it's a very great oil and I'm going to be sharing some of its wonders.

Benefits of Honey

Honey is a sweet, thick liquid made by honeybees. What makes the smell, colour, and taste of honey different depend on the types of flowers visited.

Benefits of Coconut Oil for the skin

Coconut oil is an edible oil extracted from the kernel or meat of matured coconuts. It contains vitamin E and K and iron. It also contains the same level of saturated fat like palm oil but both are safer than animal fat because they are composed of medium-chain triglycerides which reduces health risk when taken internally. Although I prefer groundnut oil for cooking.
